All Cress Gallery events are free and open to campus and community.
Cress events range from artist's lectures, presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and gallery talks as well as informal receptions that provide an opportunity for one on one conversation with the artists in association with exhibitions of their work.

Merging painting with conceptual, process, and installation strategies, Matthew Deleget’s reductive abstraction creates a rich sensory experience in response to the broad plurality of our contemporary world. In addition to his artistic practice, Deleget writes, curates, and advocates for the arts, and is co-founder of the gallery Minus Space, a platform for the international promotion of reductive art located in Brooklyn, NY. March 9, 2013Summer Wheat "Few and Far Between" will be open during the campus Spring Break as the Cress maintains its regular operating hours 9:30am-7:30pm M-F and from 1:00-4:00pm weekends! Parking should be a breeze offering you a chance to spend time with this acclaimed exhibition of work by 2013 Diane Marek Visiting Artist, Summer Wheat.

January 14, 2013Joseph Peragine, artist, Associate Professor of Art Georgia State University and this year's Juror for the UTC Department of Art Student Exhibition returns to campus: Artist's lecture, January 14, 5:30-6:30pm, Fine Arts Center Room 356; free and open to the public. Peragine will participate in a Professionalism Discussion with students Tuesday, January 15, 11:00am - 12:00noon, Fine Arts Center Room 339, and conduct studio visits and informal conversations with students throughout that day.
