Matthew Deleget, Fall 2012 Diane Marek Visiting Artist, selected for the 2014 Whitney Biennial
The curatorial team for the upcoming 2014 Whitney Biennial, Stuart Comer, Anthony Elms, and Michelle Grabner, have selected Matthew Deleget for the inclusion of his work in the 2014 Whitney Biennial of Art at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York City.  The Whitney Biennial has long stood as an anticipated important survey of contemporary art, mixing influential emergent, mid-career, and late career artists in the same relative space. The Whitney itself sees the 2014 version as "one of the broadest and most diverse takes on art in the United States that the Whitney has offered in many years."

Matthew Deleget appeared in the community and on campus as a Diane Marek Visiting Artist in association with his much discussed, thoughtful and elegant, and acclaimed exhibition in the Cress titled "Pictures at an Exhibition" October 9 - December 7, 2012.

Matthew is the first Diane Marek Series / UTC Cress Gallery of Art exhibiting professional artist to receive an invitation to the prestigious Whitney Biennial.  Please join UTC and the Diane Marek Series in extending our very best and sincere wishes!
